Gluten Free Sweet Sauces

I’ve always had a sweet tooth and now I’ve made this list of mouth watering sweet sauces that you can add to ice cream, pancakes, waffles or even cheesecake.

Apple Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3kg apples
  • 1 tablespoon whole mixed spice
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1.25kg sugar
  • 750ml vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 medium onions

Homemade Applesauce Recipe (Gluten-Free, Vegan)

Ingredients

  • 5 medium apples, peeled, cored, and cubed (see recipe notes for types of apples to use)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (optional, leave out if you prefer unsweetened)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 cup water, plus more if necessary

Unsweetened Applesauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples
  • 1/2-1 cup (118ml-235ml) water
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon*
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice*
  • *You don’t have to add cinnamon or lemon if you don’t want to. I choose to do it simply because it adds more taste and complements the flavour of the apples.

Easy Passionfruit Syrup Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raw passionfruit pulp with seeds (about 20 fresh passionfruit’s)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water

Passionfruit Coulis

Ingredients

  • 13 passionfruit, fresh
  • 2 tbsp honey, raw
  • 1 tbsp tapioca starch
  • 2 tbsp water

Tropical Coulis with Mango & Passionfruit

Ingredients

  • 350 g mango, cubed (fresh, canned or frozen-defrosted) – (flesh from 685 g jar/tin of mango, drained)
  • 2 tsp caster sugar – or sugar of choice
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla bean paste – or vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 20 g orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp passionfruit pulp

Easy Microwave Lemon Passionfruit Curd

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup passionfruit pulp (from roughly 3 passionfruit)
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice (from roughly 2 -3 lemons)
  • Zest of 2 – 3 lemons
  • 2/3 cup caster (superfine) sugar
  • 4 eggs (you’ll use 2 whole eggs and 2 egg yolks)
  • 90g (6 tablespoons) butter, cubed
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Passionfruit Caramel Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup + 1 tablespoon (120 grams) caster (superfine) sugar
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/4 cup (60 mls) heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup (60 mls) passionfruit pulp
  • pinch fine salt

Gluten Free Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

  • ▢1 cup white granulated sugar
  • ▢6 tablespoons unsalted butter room temperature
  • ▢½ cup heavy whipping cream room temperature
  • ▢1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ▢½ teaspoon salt

Homemade Caramel Sauce (gluten free)

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 7 tablespoon butter

Gluten-free Caramel Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup Karo light corn syrup
  • 1 cup evaporated milk (note: this is not a full can)
  • 1 pint (2 cups) heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup (2 sticks or 16 Tbsp.) unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

Quick Salted Caramel Sauce (gluten-free)

Ingredients 

  • 250 g caster sugar
  • 300 g double cream – heavy cream
  • 40 g butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon flaky sea salt

Easy Salted Caramel Sauce (GF)

Ingredients

  • 75g salted butter
  • 50g light brown sugar
  • 50g golden caster sugar
  • 50ml golden syrup
  • 125ml double cream
  • 1 tsp sea salt flakes

Gluten Free Caramel Sauce with Milk & Brown Sugar (Salted)

Ingredients

  • ▢½ cup Whole Milk
  • ▢½ cup Butter

Ingredients 

  • 2 pounds fresh strawberries (32 ounces)
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup coconut sugar (can sub brown sugar or granulated sugar, as needed)
  • ⅓ cup cocoa powder or cacoa powder

  • 3/4 cups raw cacao powder unsweetened cocoa powder will work too
  • 3/4 cup raw honey or maple syrup (stevia or monk fruit will make this work for Keto)

Mango Sauce – A Sweet, Healthy Dessert Topping

  • 300 g (1 large) sweet fresh mango ripe (see NOTES) weight after the stone and skin removed
  • 1 teaspoon powdered/icing sugar to your taste
