About Cozy GF Kitchen
Welcome to Cozy GF Kitchen, a place designed to make finding and understanding gluten-free food a little easier.
Finding a gluten-free recipe online can sometimes be frustrating. You might open recipe after recipe only to discover that you don’t have the ingredients, the recipe requires expensive specialty products, or an ingredient isn’t readily available in your country.
That’s one of the reasons Cozy GF Kitchen was created.
Making Gluten-Free Recipes Easier to Find
Our recipe collections bring together gluten-free recipes from talented recipe creators around the web and let you look at the ingredients before deciding which recipe you want to make.
Instead of opening ten different recipe websites just to compare your options, you can browse a collection in one place and see which recipes are most likely to work for you.
You can check whether:
- You already have most of the ingredients at home.
- You’ll need to buy specialty gluten-free ingredients.
- A recipe uses ingredients that are available where you live.
- The recipe suits what you’re looking for.
When you find a recipe you want to make, you’ll be directed to the original recipe creator for the complete recipe, quantities, instructions and cooking method.
We don’t claim these recipes as our own. Our collections are designed to help readers discover and compare recipes while giving credit and traffic to the people who created them.
Gluten-Free & Coeliac Guides
Cozy GF Kitchen also publishes beginner-friendly guides about coeliac disease and gluten-free living.
These guides cover topics such as reading gluten-free food labels, hidden sources of gluten, avoiding cross-contact, shopping for gluten-free food, setting up a gluten-free kitchen and what to do after a coeliac disease diagnosis.
The goal is to take topics that can initially feel confusing and explain them in straightforward, easy-to-understand language.
How We Research Our Guides
Health and dietary information needs to be treated carefully.
When creating our coeliac and gluten-free guides, we use reputable sources such as government health and food-safety organisations, recognised coeliac organisations and other established health resources.
Where information differs between countries, we aim to make those differences clear. This is particularly important for topics such as gluten-free food labelling and oats, where advice and regulations aren’t identical around the world.
Whenever possible, our articles include links to the organisations and resources used so readers can check the information and learn more.
A New Zealand Perspective
Cozy GF Kitchen is based in New Zealand, so you’ll often find information relevant to New Zealand readers throughout the site.
However, people living gluten free come from all over the world.
That’s why we also try to consider ingredient availability, different terminology and differences in gluten-free rules between countries when they’re relevant.
For New Zealand-specific coeliac information, we regularly refer readers to Coeliac New Zealand and, for official Australian and New Zealand food standards, Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ).
Our Goal
Our goal is simple:
Make gluten-free living easier to navigate.
Whether you’re trying to find tonight’s dinner, comparing gluten-free cake recipes, working out what to put in your pantry or learning how to read a food label after a coeliac diagnosis, we want Cozy GF Kitchen to help you find the information you need without making things more complicated.
Important Medical Information
Information published on Cozy GF Kitchen is provided for general educational and informational purposes only.
It isn’t intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition and shouldn’t replace advice from your doctor, dietitian or another appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
If you think you may have coeliac disease, speak with a healthcare professional before starting a gluten-free diet, because removing gluten before appropriate testing can affect the diagnostic process.
For personalised dietary advice following a coeliac disease diagnosis, consult an appropriately qualified dietitian or healthcare professional.
